Job Summary

This position serves as supervisor for the Health Professions Education Grants Team in the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. The team's goal is to design, implement, and scale grant-funded programs that strengthen the healthcare workforce pipeline by integrating education, clinical practice, and community partnerships-while improving access to care and supporting sustainable faculty practice. This team operates within a matrix team model and manages, implements, and evaluates a portfolio of grants programs focused on primary care health care workforce and faculty clinical practice development. This role will provide high-level project management for diverse and fast-paced deliverables for grant-funded projects by providing centralized management, administration and analysis for the infrastructure of the programs. The Health Professions Education Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations, staff, and performance of multiple grant-funded health professions education programs. This role will lead complex, multi-site initiatives that span workforce development and clinical education.

The incumbent will be involved in designing, conducting, promoting, evaluating, and supporting health professions education programs in compliance with organizational objectives and nationally accepted accreditation standards and requirements. This position requires strong leadership, project management, and analytical skills to effectively manage competing priorities while ensuring compliance with organizational and accreditation standards. The role also requires a high degree of flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.

The incumbent will bring their experience and expertise to a growing team by providing supervision to a unit or group of operational or technical professionals. They will collaborate with community partners to ensure programs are implemented as planned and aligned with established goals and expectations.

This role will oversee program data acquisition, management, and analysis to meet project goals and objectives. Responsibilities include collecting, synthesizing, analyzing, and reporting data derived from program activities, and recommending actions in partnership with the leadership team. The incumbent will also be responsible for the high-level design and implementation of regular meetings, retreats, and events. The position requires the use of initiative, sound judgment, and discretion to address complex issues. The incumbent will analyze and compile background information to support faculty and staff in responding to a wide variety of complex needs and project-related challenges. #CA-DS

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritizing competing demands, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience developing and implementing project plans, workflows, and tracking systems to support program execution and grant deliverables
• Experience implementing grant-funded educational programs
• Experience with educational software and technologies (e.g. Canvas, New Innovations, eValue, MedHub)
• Experience managing operations and logistics for accredited programs
• Experience with grant reporting, including preparing, tracking, and submitting reports in compliance with funding requirements and timelines
• Experience managing program operations, including scheduling, logistics, and coordination across clinical, academic, and community settings
• Experience managing high-volume shared inboxes, ensuring timely, accurate, and organized communication across multiple stakeholders
• Experience applying analytical skills to interpret complex data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
• Experience managing data systems and tools (e.g., Excel, Qualtrics, NVivo, SPSS/STATA/SAS) to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and usability
• Demonstrated experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, including survey development, interview/focus group support, and data coding
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering presentations and materials for a variety of audiences
• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising staff, including coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, to support document creation, data analysis, reporting, and communication
• Ability to organize and coordinate project activities across multiple stakeholders, teams, and program areas
• Ability to apply sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making in complex or ambiguous project environments
• Demonstrated knowledge of health professions education programs, including curriculum, operations, and accreditation standards
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrixed team structure.
• Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills to clearly, effectively, and tactfully interact with individuals of varying ages and cultural backgrounds and perspectives to research, secure, and/or provide information to clarify situations, and resolve problems and ensure cooperation among individuals.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proofreading and writing skills to compose and prepare grammatically correct, clear, legible business correspondence, e-mail, forms, and reports.
• Demonstrated ability to design and manage evaluation activities, including quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain structured processes for data collection, tracking, and reporting across multiple programs
• Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership and funders
• Ability to organize, assign, and monitor work across team members to ensure alignment with program goals and timelines
• Ability to foster collaboration and maintain effective working relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with faculty, staff, and external partners
• Ability to support a positive team environment and contribute to staff development and performance improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in related area preferred
• Experience with federal grant reporting
• High proficiency using educational software and technologies
