As part of MITRE's Center for Transforming Health, the CMS Programs Division is responsible for managing work shaping, engagement, and end-to-end delivery for the Health FFRDC's CMS Portfolio with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid and Services (CMS).
Roles & Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be supporting large, complex engagement teams to address programmatic, policy, operational, strategic, and/or acquisition needs for the Center for CMS programs. As part of a team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with CMS to develop and implement evidence-based strategies and solutions to address some of the agency's most complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Experience with health policy, application of the health capability, and in-depth knowledge of the health domain.
Demonstrated ability to apply best practices to develop and improve products and solutions.
Experience supporting large, complex engagements that identify, design, and implement policy and business solutions for government entities or large companies.
Experience in health communication, public health, health organizational effectiveness, or other health-related government initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to apply best practices to develop and improve products and solutions.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Prior experience as an intern at MITRE in the last 12 months
This position requires a minimum of 3 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
A terminal degree (JD, MD, PhD) or advanced degree in public policy or health sciences field and 3 years related experience
Key understanding of challenges across entire health spectrum - payor, provider, life sciences and public health arena

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$106,400 - $133,000 - $159,600 Annual
