What you will be doing:
Under the direction of the Health Program Manager 4, in this position you will be responsible for all quality assurance-related activities within the Division of Senior and Disabilities Services. Responsibilities include oversight of Division performance measures, monitoring of complaint and quality-of-care investigations, mortality review, and continuous quality improvement activities for programs.
Additionally, you will also be responsible for oversight of the fair hearing process, Electronic Visit Verification, and all service authorizations.
Frequent Travel within and outside the State of Alaska will be required to conduct provider visits, as well as attend necessary meetings and conferences.

The Anchorage office is located at 1835 Bragaw Street in East Anchorage and is close to trails.

Develops program goals and objectives.

Public Health: Applies knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, methods, and tools associated with protecting and improving the health of people and their communities, including promoting healthy lifestyles, researching disease and injury prevention, and detecting, preventing, and responding to infectious diseases.
Leadership: Influences, motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations.

Progressively responsible professional supervisory or lead level experience performing health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation, or implementation; providing technical health care assistance and consultation; conducting health care utilization or quality assurance examinations; and/or delivering health care service.
Special Note: Agencies employing Health Program Managers are responsible for administering a wide range of medical, behavioral, and social health insurance programs for children and adults.
