Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Suffolk
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading specialist contractor delivering works on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes.
Working within a major civil engineering environment, you'll provide expert health and safety support to operational teams, ensuring the highest standards of compliance while helping to drive a positive and proactive safety culture across site.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HSE advice and support to operational and project teams.
Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
Support the preparation and review of risk assessments, RAMS and construction phase plans.
Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and HSE training.
Promote continuous improvement and behavioural safety initiatives.
Build strong relationships with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for candidates with:
Previous Health & Safety experience within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure.
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
Good understanding of CDM Regulations and UK Health & Safety legislation.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
CSCS card.
Working towards or holding IOSH membership.
Experience within ground engineering, geotechnical engineering, piling or heavy civils would be highly advantageous.
