Job Title: Health & Safety Coordinator

Location: Edison, NJ

Pay Rate: $60 per hour, W 2

Summary:

• Duration: 2 Years
• Work Mode: Onsite
• 8hrs 5 days/wk 7am to 3:30pm (must be able to stay later if needed & possible weekend work)

Responsibilities:

• Provide Safety oversight on specific projects.
• Develop and maintain a culture prioritizing Safety as a core commitment.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
• Assist in interpreting and implementing safety regulations and procedures.
• Review and ensure the adequacy of Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
• Conduct Job Site Observations to proactively identify and correct safety issues.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and corrective action plans.
• Engage with project personnel to ensure Safety expectations are understood and met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Safety, Environmental, or Emergency Management or equivalent utility construction experience.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for commuting to job sites.
• CPR/First Aid trained (not required).

Preferred Skills:

• Professional safety certification such as BCSP CHST or USOLN CUSP.
• Experience in safety industry or large construction projects.
• Proficiency in Windows applications, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
