Are you passionate about health and safety? Do you have a knack for ensuring compliance with safety regulations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a Permanent Health & Safety Clerk for our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enforcing all health and safety regulations within the company. This includes ensuring compliance with Cal OSHA and Fed OSHA, maintaining OSHA 300 recordkeeping, and handling Workmans Comp reports. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the health and safety of our team members and contributes to the overall productivity of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

As a Health & Safety Clerk, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Ensuring compliance with all Cal OSHA and Fed OSHA regulations within the company.
2. Maintaining OSHA 300 recordkeeping, which includes tracking and documenting all workplace injuries and illnesses.
3. Handling Workmans Comp reports, including filing claims and coordinating with insurance companies.
4. Regularly inspecting the manufacturing facility to identify potential health and safety hazards.
5. Conducting health and safety training sessions for all staff members.
6. Maintaining all health and safety records, including incident reports, training records, and inspection reports.
7. Coordinating with management and staff to implement health and safety improvements.
8. Assisting in the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, studying possible causes and recommending remedial action.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

1. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of Cal OSHA and Fed OSHA compliance requirements.
3. Experience with OSHA 300 recordkeeping and Workmans Comp reports.
4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed records.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. The ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
7. A proactive approach to health and safety, with the ability to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
8. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CPR Certified
