As a Health and Safety Specialist 3 based in Fort Worth, you will play a critical role in shaping and advancing our health, safety, and environmental programs. This is an opportunity to collaborate across teams, influence best practices, and help ensure a safe and compliant environment for all.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE programs and training initiatives
  • Identifying training needs and delivering engaging health, safety, and environmental training to employees and leaders
  • Partnering with site and department management to promote best practices and strengthen compliance
  • Analyzing injury trends, compliance data, and safety performance to recommend improvements
  • Conducting workplace assessments to identify hazards and support risk reduction strategies
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, providing consultation on regulatory requirements and HSE standards
  • Supporting audits, maintaining compliance programs, and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and regulatory bodies
  • Preparing reports and recommendations for leadership to enhance safety outcomes

What will you need to be successful?

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related scientific or technical field

Certifications:

  • OSHA 500 or 501 Trainer certification, OSHA 10- or 30-Hour certification is a plus
  • Certified Safety Professional CSP is a plus

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles
  • Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience delivering training programs and influencing safe behaviors across teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and advise stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

The Group has a history dating back 160 years to the family enterprise of Thomas James Smith who opened a small pharmacy in Hull, England in 1856. On his death in 1896, his nephew Horatio Nelson Smith took over the management of the business.
