Health & Safety Specialist - Night Shift

Oxford Solutions is working with a client in Honolulu, HI seeking a Health & Safety Specialist for a 6-month contract assignment. This position will support workplace and field safety activities, including inspections, employee safety observations, compliance monitoring, and incident prevention.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Location: Honolulu, HI – onsite
Contract Length: 6 months

Local Hawaii candidates only. Candidates must be able to commute to the Honolulu worksite for the required night shift.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine shop, facility, and field safety inspections
• Accompany field crews to observe work activities and identify potential safety concerns
• Help ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and established HSE procedures
• Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, and corrective actions
• Monitor safety performance and communicate potential issues or trends
• Assist with incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up
• Support site safety programs, meetings, and employee safety initiatives
• Help maintain safety documentation and inspection records
• Work with operations teams and supervisors to promote safe work practices

Qualifications

• 3+ years of occupational health, safety, HSE, EHS, industrial safety, construction safety, or related experience
• Experience performing workplace or field safety inspections
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety practices
• Ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Comfortable working around field, maintenance, industrial, or operational personnel
• Must be available to work Monday–Friday from 6:00 PM–2:00 AM
• Must currently reside in Hawaii and be able to commute to the Honolulu worksite
