Job Goal: The Licensed Practical Nurse provides comprehensive health services in accordance with state law and regulations by minimizing each student''s absence by creating a climate of health and well-being in the schools. The LPN will work with students, the Randolph school community, and the Randolph Dept. of Public Health to provide and promote health and wellness services and initiatives.
Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities Provide temporary and emergency care to ill or injured students Evaluates the students'' total health and development status through comprehensive health assessments Dispenses, monitors, and records all students'' medications for acute and chronic health problems, consults with physician and parent regarding recommendation for medication adjustments or changes when needed Determines and maintains health clinic inventory of equipment and supplies per health services guidelines Promotes a positive image of school district and positive public relations at all times Conducts school programs in accordance with state requirements Maintains daily log of pertinent student health information Assists with health and safety in-service and education programs Completes accident reports of injuries for Principal and Superintendent Works collaboratively and closely with all school nurses pertaining to school health May assist in the other school health activities including but not limited to registration, screening, field trips and athletic assessments as determined by school nurses and the Student Services Coordinator
Terms: per Unit D Collective bargaining agreement Paid for 6.5 hours per day, 192 days per year $52.32 per hour
