Clinical Scope:

• Health Technician shall provide direct and indirect treatment through assessing patient status and determining priorities. 
• Perform required Electrocardiograms (ECGs) and any other support related tests.
• Ensure that the inpatient ward’s needs are met in a support capacity to enhance patient care.
• Contracted personnel will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide appropriate care in accordance with unit standards.
• Performs basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, turning, dressing etc.

Requirements:

• U.S. citizen
• High school graduate or equivalent 
• Certfied Phlebotomy Technician through the California Department of Public Health
• Hands on experience for the last 12 months as a Health Technician 
• BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Demostrates knowledge and competency in performing electrocardiograms(EGGs), including proper lead placement, operation of ECG equipment, and basic recognition of common rhythm abnormalities.
• Any EKG certification.
