Healthcare Assistant – Overnight Summer Camp

Looking to build your healthcare skills in a one-of-a-kind summer setting? Girl Scouts San Diego is seeking Healthcare Assistants to support camper and staff wellness as part of our summer camp health team.

What You’ll Do

• Camper & Staff Care:
• • Assess and respond to illnesses and injuries so campers can safely enjoy outdoor activities.
  • Provide timely, compassionate care and determine next steps in collaboration with the healthcare supervisor.
• Health Center Operations & Teamwork:
• • Support daily operations of the Health Center alongside the Healthcare Team.
  • Collaborate with camp staff to manage medical needs and activity accommodations.
• Documentation & Follow-Up:
• • Conduct routine camper health checks.
  • Maintain accurate health records and process medical forms.
• Commitment to Camp Life:
• • Live and work onsite from June 8 - July 25, 2026.

What You Bring

• Age 21+ by June 8, 2026
• California-licensed PA, RN, NP, EMT, Paramedic, or Military Medic (or currently enrolled in a certification program)
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Confidence in providing care for youth and adults in emergent and non-emergent situations.
• Experience working with youth; overnight camp experience is a plus.
• Comfortable living and working in a camp environment with variable weather and communal living.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.

Employment Dates & Compensation

• Dates: June 8 - July 25, 2026
• Pay: $143 - $148 per day (includes meals and lodging)
