Description
Our client is looking for a mid-to-senior level associate with 5+ years of experience in the healthcare sector. The successful candidate will navigate complex legal landscapes, providing strategic counsel to healthcare entities on a variety of regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Counsel: Advise clients on HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other critical healthcare regulations.
Transactional Support: Draft, review, and negotiate healthcare-related contracts, and assist in due diligence for M&A and partnerships.
Litigation & Investigation: Support administrative proceedings and regulatory investigations involving healthcare entities.
Leadership: Mentor junior associates and paralegals, providing guidance on specialized healthcare law matters.
Strategy: Stay ahead of emerging legislative changes and industry trends to provide proactive legal memos and reports.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD): From an accredited law school.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated practice in healthcare law.
Bar Admission: Must be admitted to the state bar applicable to the office location.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and regulatory counseling.
Skills: Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience specifically with healthcare providers and health systems.
Strong background in reimbursement and transactional work.
Demonstrated leadership or mentorship capabilities within a firm environment.
