Healthcare Business Analyst Medicaid SystemsPosition Location: Nashville, TN, USAWork Model: Hybrid Work Model Details: Primarily remote with onsite meetingsShift: Monday-Friday (8:00 AM-4:30 PM) 7.5 hours per dayEmployment Type: TemporaryMin Hourly Rate: $40.00 Max Hourly Rate: $47.00Must Have Skills/Attributes: Agile, Azure, Business Analysis, Business Process Modeling, Business Process Re-Engineering, DevOps, Healthcare, Medicaid, Medicaid Systems, MMIS Experience Desired: Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements (8 yrs); Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar Agile project management tools (5 yrs); Experience with healthcare information systems, hospital workflows, or health IT integrations (4 yrs); Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills (8 yrs); Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with technical and business stakeholder (7 yrs); Experience with enhancements and maintenance of the Hospital Reporting Tracking System (HRTS) (3 yrs)Job Description: Primarily remote with onsite meetings. 4 times a year at most. All new Contingent worker must be Tennessee residents. Contingent worker relocating to Tennessee must establish residency prior to their start dateRequired Skills:Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirementsWorking knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar Agile project management toolsExperience with healthcare information systems, hospital workflows, or health IT integrationsStrong analytical, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with technical and business stakeholdersJob OverviewThe Business Unit Analyst serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and the HRTS development team. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements to support enhancements and maintenance of the Hospital Reporting Tracking System (HRTS). The analyst works closely with business units to understand operational needs, translate those needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, and manage work items through Azure DevOps. In addition, the Business Unit Analyst coordinates with hospitals and business partners to support the implementation and ongoing integration of US SAFR with HRTS, ensuring business processes, data exchanges, and system functionality meet operational and regulatory requirements. The analyst participates in solution design, testing, user acceptance activities, training, and post-implementation support while promoting continuous process improvement and effective communication between business and technical teams.Job ResponsibilitiesPartner with business units to gather, analyze, and document business requirementsCreate and manage user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOpsFacilitate meetings with stakeholders to define business needs and prioritize enhancementsWork with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure requirements are accurately implementedCoordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate completed functionalitySupport implementation and integration of US SAFR between hospitals and HRTSDocument business processes, workflows, and system changesProvide production support, issue analysis, and recommendations for system improvementsMonitor project progress and communicate status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholdersPromote continuous improvement of HRTS functionality and business processes
