We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Construction Superintendent to lead healthcare construction projects across Manhattan. In this role, you will oversee daily site operations, manage subcontractors, maintain schedules, enforce safety standards, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has healthcare construction experience and strong leadership skills in fast-paced environments.

Description

As an Healthcare Construction Superintendent, you will:

  • Manage all onsite building and construction activities from project kickoff through completion
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient execution
  • Maintain project schedules and monitor progress against key milestones
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare construction requirements, including ICRA and infection control protocols
  • Enforce site safety standards and OSHA regulations
  • Coordinate work in occupied healthcare facilities with minimal operational disruption
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure work meets project specifications
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and daily coordination efforts
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, healthcare facility staff, and ownership teams
  • Resolve field challenges proactively to maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Oversee project documentation, logistics, and inspections

Profile

The successful Healthcare Construction Superintendent candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on healthcare construction projects
  • Experience working in occupied hospitals, medical offices, or outpatient facilities
  • Strong understanding of healthcare construction regulations and infection control procedures
  • Knowledge of ICRA, interim life safety measures, and healthcare facility operations
  • Proven leadership and subcontractor management experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards
  • OSHA 30 certification required or preferred
  • Healthcare construction certifications are a plus
