Job DetailsJob Details:
Our organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Healthcare IT Trainer to join our Tech Services team. This role is integral to the successful implementation and optimization of cutting-edge technologies and applications within our healthcare environment. As an IT Training Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive end user training, new hire education, post go live support, and remediation training. You will also be involved in instructional design across multiple learning formats, including classroom sessions, webinars, eLearning, computer labs, and large group presentations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT training, particularly with Ambulatory and Inpatient Epic and/or Cerner clinical applications.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver training using a variety of instructional methods, including presentations, group discussions, exercises, role playing, and video content.
- Coordinate training schedules, facilities, equipment, and instructor availability.
- Develop self-paced learning content using multimedia and eLearning tools.
- Create and maintain training documentation, user guides, manuals, and visual materials.
- Design and deliver training programs for new software applications and technology implementations.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and learner outcomes.
- Review and improve training content developed by other instructors.
- Conduct needs assessments through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and stakeholder discussions.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate IT orientation and training programs for employees.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, applications, and training best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- 5+ years of experience delivering virtual and in person IT training in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with both Ambulatory and Inpatient Epic and/or Cerner clinical applications.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Experience training on enterprise applications such as ServiceNow, Kronos, Lawson, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to understand and explain clinical and business workflows.
- Experience writing eLearning scripts is preferred.
- Hands on experience creating training materials such as: Participant guides, Job aids, Quick reference guides, Video tutorials.
- Experience using SnagIt.
- Experience supporting large, fast paced project environments preferred.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and commitment to excellence.
- Hybrid schedule: approximately 70% onsite and 30% remote. Local candidates only.
