The Faculty Member in the Health Care Management (HCM) program serves as a designated, qualified instructor responsible for delivering effective, current, and engaging instruction that helps students achieve the program’s learning objectives. Faculty create a positive learning environment, assess student performance fairly, and support student retention and success in accordance with ACCSC Standards of Accreditation and institutional policy.
COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE
$21 – $24 per hour (part-time / adjunct)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree minimum in Health Care Management, Health Administration, Business, or a related field from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA; master’s degree preferred.
Academic credentials appropriate to, and at least equivalent to, the level of the courses taught and the credential for the program of awards.
Licensure / Credentials
Professional certification or licensure appropriate to the subject matter taught is preferred where applicable.
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of related professional or occupational experience in health care management or a related field.
Effective communication, classroom management, and instructional technology skills.

Current resume or curriculum vitae (CV).
Official transcripts documenting all degrees earned.
Copies of all applicable professional licenses and certifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver assigned courses in accordance with approved syllabi, course objectives, and the program outline.
Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and learning activities that promote student achievement of course objectives.
Evaluate and document student performance fairly and consistently and provide timely feedback.
Maintain accurate attendance, grade, and advising records in accordance with institutional policy.
Maintain a safe, professional, and inclusive learning environment.
Hold scheduled office hours and provide academic support and advice to students to promote retention and success.
Participate in faculty in-service training and maintain an individual professional development plan to sustain current knowledge in the field.
Participate in curriculum review and program assessment activities as requested.
Support institutional and accreditation activities, including outcomes of data collection.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Director of Education.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & EVALUATION
The incumbent will participate in institutional in-service training, maintain an individual professional development plan to sustain current knowledge and skills in the field, and be subject to periodic performance evaluation, which may include classroom/laboratory observation, in accordance with ACCSC Standards and institutional policy.
