We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Platform Integration Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise integration solutions supporting Member, Employer, Broker, and Provider platforms. This role will drive modernization initiatives, architect cloud-native solutions, and develop scalable API and event-driven architectures within a complex healthcare ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring deep healthcare integration expertise, strong AWS cloud architecture experience, and a proven track record delivering scalable microservices and event-driven solutions. Location: Remote Duration: 11 Months Key Responsibilities Architect and deliver healthcare platform integrations supporting Member, Employer, Broker, and Provider portals. Design scalable event-driven and service-oriented architectures (SOA). Lead monolith-to-microservices modernization initiatives. Develop and govern RESTful APIs, FHIR APIs, and web services. Define API lifecycle management standards utilizing Swagger/OpenAPI. Design and implement Kafka-based event streaming solutions. Build asynchronous messaging architectures using RabbitMQ and KEDA autoscaling. Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and serverless technologies. Establish CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps and integration strategies. Ensure compliance with healthcare interoperability and security standards. Required Qualifications Healthcare Domain Expertise Prior experience integrating healthcare Member, Employer, Broker, and Provider portals. Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability and enterprise integration patterns. Architecture & Integration Expertise in event-driven architecture and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Strong experience with microservices architecture, modernization, scalability, and resiliency. Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, FHIR APIs, web services, and API lifecycle management. Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications. Messaging & Event Streaming Extensive Kafka integration experience, including event producers and consumers. Strong experience with event streaming architectures. Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ for asynchronous messaging. Knowledge of KEDA-based autoscaling solutions. Cloud & DevOps Strong AWS cloud architecture and development experience. Hands-on expertise with: AWS Lambda ECS EKS S3 IAM Secrets Manager AWS CLI Serverless architectures Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. Preferred Experience 10+ years of enterprise integration or architecture experience. 5+ years of healthcare technology architecture experience. Experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives. Strong background in Agile development environments. AWS certifications preferred. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree and relevant cloud or architecture certifications preferred. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $85.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
