Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of healthcare construction projects across Colorado, with the flexibility to be based in either Denver or Fort Collins. This role offers the opportunity to oversee complex projects from preconstruction through closeout while working with a respected builder known for its long-term client relationships and collaborative culture.

Client Details

Our client is a highly respected employee-focused general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex construction projects throughout the Midwest and Mountain West regions. With decades of industry experience, they have built a diverse portfolio spanning healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, and community-focused facilities.

The organization has earned a reputation for quality, integrity, and repeat business, maintaining long-standing partnerships with owners, architects, and trade partners. Their leadership team prioritizes collaboration, employee development, and internal promotion, creating an environment where construction professionals can build long-term careers rather than simply move from project to project.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of healthcare projects, they are actively seeking a Project Manager to help lead and deliver critical healthcare facilities that have a lasting impact on the communities they serve.

Description

  • Lead all aspects of project management throughout the project lifecycle, from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Manage healthcare construction projects while ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with Superintendents, Owners, Architects, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, contracts, change orders, and overall financial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate design reviews, procurement activities, and subcontractor buyout processes.
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify risks, potential conflicts, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, contracts, and closeout packages.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and support the professional growth of less experienced team members.
  • Ensure projects comply with healthcare-specific standards and remain operationally sensitive when working in active healthcare environments.
  • Partner closely with field leadership to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience with a general contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience managing healthcare construction projects, including renovations, additions, or ground-up facilities.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements, complex MEP systems, phasing strategies, and occupied-facility construction.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships.
  • Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to forecast costs and manage project profitability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative and relationship-driven approach to project management.
  • Desire to build a long-term career with a stable and growing construction organization.
  • Must be able to work from either the Denver or Fort Collins market and travel to project sites as needed.

Job Offer

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Annual performance bonus opportunity.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle program.
  • Generous paid time off and company holidays.
  • Career advancement opportunities with a contractor that promotes from within.
  • Long-term pipeline of healthcare and commercial projects throughout Colorado.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong executive support.
  • Access to leadership development, professional training, and continuing education opportunities.
  • Opportunity to lead impactful healthcare projects that directly benefit local communities.
  • Stable backlog and the chance to join a financially strong organization with a reputation for employee retention and career growth.
