AsaHealthcare ReimbursementAnalyticsIntern, you will work withhealth care reimbursement specialiststo analyzeclaimsreimbursement data, create reports, andidentifytrends affecting healthcare financial performancewhile gaining knowledge on the healthcare payer negotiation andreimbursement process.You'llgain exposure to claims processing, payer reimbursement, denial management, and operational analytics.
What You'll Do:
Assistin analyzinghealthcareclaimswithfocusonutilization, types of service,denials,reimbursement trends, etc.
Use SQL to source claims data
Use Microsoft Excel to organize,validate,analyzeand summarizelarge healthcare datasets.
Support reporting and dashboard development toidentifyreimbursement savingsopportunities andinefficiencies.
Reimbursementforcommercial, Affordable Care Act (ACA), and Medicare claims for both metro and rural Nebraska
Collaborate with cross-functional teamsand stakeholders on claims and reimbursement focus areas
Document findings andassistwith presenting recommendations to stakeholders
Find opportunities to improve patient access to care
To be considered for this position you must have:
Currently pursuing aBachelor’sdegree (or higher)Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Public Health, ora relatedfield.
The most qualified candidates will also possess some or all of the following:
Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
Familiarity with SQL or willingness to learn.
Strong interest in healthcare finance, reimbursement,contracting,revenue cycle, or healthcare operations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
