About the Role

We are hiring Healthcare Security Officers to work at medical facilities in the Bluffton and Hilton Head Island, SC area. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and medical staff. This position requires a professional, composed individual who can handle sensitive situations with discretion and respond quickly when needed.

We are hiring across all shifts — day, evening, and overnight. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

What You'll Do

• Provide security coverage at assigned medical facilities
• Monitor and control access to buildings and restricted areas
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the facility and grounds
• Respond to emergency situations, disturbances, and code calls
• Assist medical staff with patient safety situations as needed
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems
• Enforce facility policies and visitor management procedures
• Document all activity, incidents, and observations in daily reports
• Serve as a visible, approachable security presence for patients, families, and staff

Schedule

Multiple shifts available:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Overnight shift

Both full-time and part-time schedules are available. Specific shift times and days will be discussed during the interview process. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess or be able to obtain a SC SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration
• Clean criminal background — must pass SLED background check
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
• Must reside in or be willing to commute to the Bluffton / Hilton Head Island area
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and composure under pressure
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
• Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
• Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and incident reporting
