    About Us:

    Valley Children's Willson Heart Center delivers top-tier pediatric cardiac care in Central California within a family-centered setting. Our pediatric cardiologists employ advanced technology for heart disease and defects, covering congenital and acquired cardiovascular conditions. The Cardiothoracic Surgery Program, staffed by surgeons from Stanford University School of Medicine, is part of one of North America's largest pediatric cardiothoracic surgical heart programs. 

     

    Comprehensive cardiovascular care at The Willson Heart Center encompasses congenital heart disease and various defects. Our pediatric cardiology team tailors personalized treatment plans for a wide range of heart conditions, from common to rare and complex cases. 

     

    The professional team ensures continuous care throughout a child's journey. Collaborating with pediatric cardiologists, we provide board-certified, fellowship-trained clinical expertise and support staff for compassionate, expert care in various pediatric specialties. 

    Job Summary:

    The Heart Center Program Manager RN plays a vital role in the multidisciplinary team providing expert nursing care for patients with a broad range of complex cardiac conditions across the continuum of care. This position partners with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, advanced practice providers, nurses and ancillary teams to ensure high-quality, patient centered cardiovascular care. The Program Manager serves as the primary liaison for patients, families, and healthcare providers, facilitating communication and ensuring seamless coordination of care in inpatient, procedural, post-discharge and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include managing patient navigation throughout the cardiac care journey, providing patient family education, supporting quality and regulatory initiatives, monitoring program outcomes, coordinating multidisciplinary care plans, and promoting evidence-based cardiovascular practices. The Program Manager is dedicated to improving outcomes, enhancing access to care, and helping patients achieve their highest level of cardiovascular health.

    Qualifications:


    Education

    • Bachelors Degree (required) preferably in Nursing or Health Care Related Field or
    • Equivalent (required)


    Licenses and Certifications

    • RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required)
    • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association (required)
    • National Certification - Other National certification in area of specialty. (preferred)


    Work Experience

    • Minimum three (3) years Clinical, leadership and/or project management experience. (required)


    Skills and Abilities

    • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams to achieve high quality outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
    • Must have leadership and project management abilities and extensive advanced knowledge of nursing or respiratory care principles, clinical practice, quality and healthcare systems.
      Demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job in specialty area.

    $54.56 - $77.84
