Position Overview

OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. Heat Treat Machine Operators produce world class fasteners for OMG using safe machine operating techniques and effective lean manufacturing principles. The Heat Treat Machine Operator must be a team player and committed to delivering only the best quality to our customers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
  • Set up machine, observe operation, and inspect first run and sample work piece to ensure machining conforms to specifications.
  • Read blueprint or job order for product and job specifications such as wire type, dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be run.
  • Select, enter, and adjust specified heat treat recipes to conform to production run sheet and feed rates.
  • Perform routine lubrication and preventative maintenance inspections as required.
  • Observe all safety rules.
  • Perform routine and preventative machine maintenance.
  • Assist other machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
  • Maintain a neat and well-organized work area.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
