Heat Treat Operator

Location-Hamden, CT
Pay- $20.00 to 28.00 per hour
1st shift 7 am to 3:30 pm

Nesco Resource is seeking a Heat Treat Operator for a manufacturing facility in Hamden, CT. This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing, machine operation, metalworking, or production experience who is comfortable working around high-temperature equipment and wants to develop specialized skills.

What You'll Do:

Operate heat-treating equipment used to process metal components.
Load and unload parts and materials into furnaces and processing equipment.
Monitor temperatures, timers, and equipment settings throughout production cycles.
Follow work orders and production instructions to ensure parts are processed correctly.
Perform various heat-treating processes, including heating, cooling, hardening, and tempering.
Inspect completed parts and perform basic quality checks.
Use measuring tools and testing equipment as needed to verify product quality.
Document production information, temperatures, cycle times, and inspection results.
Identify and report quality issues or equipment concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

What We're Looking For:

Previous manufacturing, machine operation, production, metalworking, or heat-treating experience is preferred.
Experience working with furnaces or industrial heating equipment is a plus.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications.
Comfortable using basic measuring tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as required.
