Job Description:
The Heat Treat Operator will operate and monitor industrial heat-treatment equipment on second or third shift, with four weeks of initial training on second shift. Responsibilities include setting temperature controls, loading and unloading furnaces, monitoring heating cycles, responding to alarms, quenching parts in chemical, water, brine, or oil baths, and visually inspecting components for defects or foreign material. The operator will follow setup sheets, blueprints, specifications, quality procedures, and work instructions while using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, hardness testers, and optical comparators.
