Health, Safety and Environmental SupervisorAs a Health, Safety and Environmental Supervisor reporting to the Murfreesboro Plant Manager, you will coordinate Health and Safety efforts, and manage the Environmental Management System of the plant/location. The position ensures a safe work environment for all employees while maintaining compliance with ISO guidelines and safety‑related legal requirements.ResponsibilitiesSupervise a team of Health, Safety, and Environmental Representatives.Ensure HSE policies, procedures, and programs comply with company, OSHA, and federal, state, and local regulations.Manage environmental programs, maintain logs of chemicals used at the facility and corresponding SDS.Lead and coordinate environmental system activities to meet ISO guidelines.Respond to and facilitate investigations for HSE incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.Manage safety and health training programs to educate employees on work‑site safety practices, fire prevention, and safe handling of chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.Review new machinery, equipment, and plant layout changes to ensure a proactive safety approach.Monitor occupational health and industrial hygiene activities including air sampling and noise measurements.Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures, and follow up to ensure implementation.Organize ergonomic assessments and job hazard analyses for all areas.Ensure personal protective equipment is available for employees.Facilitate visitor/contractor safety expectations.Manage internal audits and annual certification programs.Maintain HSE files and records; compile and submit incident reports to regulatory agencies.QualificationsBachelor's degree in occupational health, Environmental Health/Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field from an accredited four‑year college or university.7+ years of previous or related experience.Strong leadership and decision‑making skills; ability to make difficult decisions and set the example for employees.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery.Ability to manage short and/or long‑term projects to successful completion.Broad, basic understanding of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certifications preferred.BenefitsWe provide a collaborative environment with ongoing personal and career development opportunities.EEO StatementDiversity matters.
