Company Overview

Servidone Inc. & B. Anthony Construction Corp. is a heavy civil construction organization with a long track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects with integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to quality execution. The company has completed major work across bridges, roadways, landfills, and dams, and continues to take on large, high-impact projects throughout the region.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Breakneck Bridge project in Cold Spring, NY, one of several significant infrastructure projects currently underway. This is an opportunity to work on complex heavy civil projects while gaining exposure to both field operations and project management. You'll work closely with experienced construction professionals, build skills across all phases of project delivery, and have opportunities to grow into future project management roles. The company offers long-term stability, a strong backlog of work, and a collaborative environment where employees are trusted to make an impact.

What You'll Do

Support project managers with project controls, documentation, job cost tracking, and production reporting across active heavy civil construction projects.

Help oversee field execution by coordinating with superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to keep work aligned with schedule, quality, safety, and contract requirements.

Manage RFIs, submittals, inspections, and close coordination with owners and engineers so crews can keep progressing without avoidable delays.

Track installed quantities daily for payment purposes, support owner billings, and maintain dependable records for project documentation and compliance.

Assist with cost forecasting, change order documentation, and identification of budget or productivity risks before they affect project performance.

Issue purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, complete quantity takeoffs, and help ensure crews have the materials and information needed to stay productive.

Prepare weekly look-ahead schedules, assist with monthly CPM schedule updates, and maintain SWPPP logs and related compliance documentation.

Contribute to monthly project reviews by helping summarize schedule status, cost performance, production progress, and key execution risks.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 6 to 12 months, success in this role will look like:

  • RFIs, submittals, and inspection documentation are completed accurately and quickly enough to prevent unnecessary field delays.
  • Daily quantities, supporting records, and billing inputs are organized, dependable, and ready for owner payment processes.
  • Weekly look-ahead schedules and monthly CPM updates provide project teams with clear visibility into upcoming work and schedule risk.
  • Purchase orders, deliveries, and quantity takeoffs are completed accurately so crews have what they need to stay productive.
  • Project managers and field supervisors view you as a reliable problem-solver who helps connect field execution, compliance, documentation, and cost awareness.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a Project Engineer with 3-5 years of heavy civil construction experience who is ready to take on broader ownership across field coordination, project controls, cost tracking, and contract documentation. Qualified candidates will typically have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or comparable construction experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience supporting heavy civil construction projects as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with field and project teams.
  • A willingness to work onsite, travel between project sites, and take ownership of the details that keep projects moving.

Additional experience with HCSS HeavyJob, bridges, roadways, railroad adjacent work, and construction compliance requirements is highly desirable.
