    Description

    Heavy Civil Project Manager

    Locations: 

    • Raleigh, NC (3 openings - no travel)
    • Greensboro, NC (2 openings - no travel)
    • Charlotte, NC
    • Wilmington, NC
    • Charleston, SC


    Tech USA is currently recruiting experienced heavy civil PMs for needs in multiple locations throughout NC & SC, at leading infrastructure contractors. Opportunities with both: 

    • Heavy highway/ DOT contractors (NCDOT & SCDOT)
    • Turnkey heavy civil sitework contractors (commercial & residential developments)



    Responsibilities

    • Manage multiple highway or commercial sitework projects ranging from $5-10M+
    • Collaborate with Project Engineers, Foremen, Superintendents and leadership team to ensure that work plans are tracked and analyzed to maximize efficiency and safety
    • Supervise the work of all scopes of projects to ensure project plans are being satisfied
    • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior PMs, Field Engineers, Supers, etc.
    • Schedule and coordinate self-performed and subcontracted work
    • Review & approve requisitions for procurement of services, materials, equipment and personnel to achieve project deadlines
    • Ensure quality objectives are satisfied for the project
    • Coordinate with field supervisors, project team, and leadership to keep project on schedule and budget, when design or scope of project is adjusted
    • Take full accountability for project success - coordinating with internal crews, subcontractors, material suppliers, project owners, state inspectors, and all project partners
    • Use problem-solving skills to build successful projects as changes or issues arise in the field
    • Develop strong relationships with project owners and project partners
