Job Description
Medium/heavy duty truck and trailer mechanic. Candidate will perform preventative and corrective maintenance duties on heavy duty tractors and trailers.
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance including tire service, wheel alignments, brake repairs, and fluid checks.
- Utilize diagnostic computer to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform fabrication tasks such as welding.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and tractor-trailers for testing or repair purposes.
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, or replace faulty components efficiently.
- Maintain/ update detailed service records and complete all required documentation for repairs performed.

Qualifications
Minimum of two years’ experience working as a diesel mechanic or in a similar heavy duty vehicle repair role.
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation.Familiarity with diagnostics software and schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems.
Experience with welding, fabrication, and use of various hand tools required for equipment repair.
Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
Excellent communication skills.
