Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to lead the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy machinery used in the mulching, logging, and vegetation industries. The ideal candidate must be proficient in all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components and must possess their own tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance and complex repairs on heavy equipment including mulchers, skidders, feller bunchers, and forestry machines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic circuits, and A/C components.
• Rebuild or replace components such as transmissions, fuel systems, hydraulic pumps, and electrical harnesses.
• Use advanced diagnostic equipment to accurately identify faults and ensure timely, effective repairs.
• Conduct inspections and routine service to ensure peak machine performance and safety.
• Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings with operations and management teams.
• Collaborate closely with field and shop teams to minimize downtime and improve fleet reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a mechanic working with heavy machinery in forestry, vegetation, or logging industries.
• Must be proficient in all major mechanical systems, including diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and A/C.
• Demonstrated experience with diagnostic tools and electronic troubleshooting.
• Must own and maintain a complete set of tools required for the role.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
