Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic 2 in Bellevue, WA. This position is responsible for performing journey-level inspection, troubleshooting, diagnoses, service, and making major and minor mechanical repairs on all types of equipment used in highway maintenance. Northwest Region (NWR) Transportation Equipment Fund (TEF) provides well maintained vehicles and equipment to customers who in turn may accomplish their services to the public in a safe, efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner. The primary function of this position is to perform all aspects of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and repair duties on all inventoried equipment within the NWR’s area of responsibility.
