Senior Diesel Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Full-Time Opportunity

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Overtime, weekend, and on-call hours as needed

We are seeking an experienced Senior Diesel Technician to join a growing team supporting heavy-duty trucks and equipment operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced engine, transmission, and differential repairs/replacements

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, and after-treatment systems

  • Utilize OEM diagnostic software such as Cummins, CAT, Volvo, and other platforms

  • Complete DOT inspections and certify repairs

  • Repair air systems, hydraulic systems, and electronic brake systems

  • Conduct road tests, calibrations, and post-repair inspections

  • Support field service work and emergency roadside repairs

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation

  • Help monitor maintenance scheduling, equipment reliability, and repair trends

  • Maintain organized tools, parts inventory, and clean work areas

  • Mentor and support junior technicians


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Technical school training in Diesel Mechanics or related field preferred

  • 5- 8 years of heavy-duty truck or equipment repair experience

  • Strong diesel diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities

  • Experience with OEM diagnostic software platforms

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required

  • CDL-A preferred

  • Inspector’s License preferred
