Heavy Duty Repairperson 4A (Oahu)

1. Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic problems in mobile and stationary equipment and/or plants in order to identify and perform necessary repairs.2. Performs general overhaul and engine repair work on equipment with diesel, gasoline, and air-cooled engines.3. Perform adjustments and repairs to brakes, transmissions, ignition and lighting systems, cooling and heating systems, air and hydraulic systems4. Perform structural repair and fabrication employing a variety of welding techniques with a variety of metal specifications5. Diagnoses and performs emergency mechanical repairs on stationery and mobile equipment6. Communicates with Foreman and co-workers on diagnosis and repairs7. Complies with all OSHA and MSHA regulations, Company hazard and safety regulations, and pertinent DOT regulations8. Prepares written reports and records.9. Performs other duties as required.10. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplacePRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS1. 5 years proven experience in heavy equipment repair of both mobile and stationary equipment2. Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract3. Ability to complete physical exam to meet DOT driver requirements4. CDL A preferred, Minimum type required5. ASE Training preferred.
