What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair: steering, electrical, cooling, lubrication, braking systems, drivetrains, suspensions, clutches, transmissions, and oil/temperature/fuel regulation components
- Adjust, test, and rebuild engines within your qualification level while meeting all relevant Federal, State/Provincial, and local requirements
- Conduct test drives during preventive inspections and post-service to validate repairs
- Install, program, replace, and verify telematics devices
Maintenance & Field Work
- Execute preventive maintenance on schedule and tackle unscheduled repairs quickly
- Handle road calls and perform on-the-road repairs as assigned
- Log time, parts, and work performed using the shop tablet and approved forms
Safety & Compliance
- Keep your bay safe, clean, efficient, and compliant with all applicable regulations and Zm standards
- Operate within DOT requirements; work assigned shifts and overtime as needed

Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years in diesel and heavy/medium-duty fleet maintenance
- Minimum five years repairing autos, trucks, or buses
- Experience operating under DOT requirements for medium/heavy trucks
- Computer fluency for fleet software and documentation
- Own the recommended hand tools for Medium/Heavy-Duty Diesel work
- Advanced computerized diagnostic capabilities
- Strong judgment and decision-making
- Maintenance planning/scheduling experience (daily/weekly/monthly)
- Flexibility to work varied schedules
Preferred
- CDL (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- ASE certifications in brakes, suspension, engine, electrical, A/C; Master School Bus or Master Truck Technician preferred
