Keen, a Wallenius Wilhelmsen company, is seeking Heavy Equipment Assembler at our equipment processing center in Fife, WA.

Mon - Fri 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Starting pay is $26.50 depending on experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assemble heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools
• Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts
• Drive and operate equipment including backing up, tilting or raising or lowering attachments or other machine movements to facilitate proper assembly
• Assist mechanics with the installation of larger components
• Operate forklift for loading, unloading, or moving pieces or machines in the work area
• Walk the yard area to inspect, inventory, or identify machinery and/or pieces         
• Clean cabs and other various duties

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Basic mechanical skills required
• Ability to operate various types of heavy construction equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes
• Basic computer skills
• Physical ability:
  • Frequent lifts and carrying of up to 50 pounds for distances of 50 feet, including overhead lifting
  • Climbing to and working at heights of up to 15 feet
  • Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to fasten, insert, and remove bolts, machine parts and pins, operate and withstand impact and vibration of electric and air-powered power tools
• Capable of work outside in all reasonable weather conditions
• Current Valid drivers license
• GED/High School diploma preferred
