A day in the life
You clock in, open our proprietary T3 platform, and instantly see the shop’s real-time equipment status. You create and assign work orders, check service intervals, pull fault codes from a wide range of makes and models, and zero in on root causes. With the data in front of you, you map out the corrective actions and move confidently from diagnosis to repair—working smarter, safer, and faster.
What you’ll tackle
- Prioritize and practice safe procedures while repairing heavy equipment
- Leverage laptops and tablets comfortably to manage work orders and diagnostics
- Perform maintenance and complex repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across rental and customer fleets—using strong independent judgment
- Coach and support junior technicians when needed
- Document work thoroughly in electronic/paper systems each day
- Assist with parts runs and equipment pick-up/delivery
- Apply knowledge of OSHA requirements (preferred)
- Participate in year-round OEM training provided by the company
- Pitch in on additional shop duties as assigned

Skills & qualifications
- Owns tools appropriate for the role
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency
- Deep knowledge of construction equipment; strong ability to read and interpret schematics/diagrams
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
Education & experience
- High school diploma required; trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
Physical demands
- Comfortably move, stand, bend, and stoop throughout the shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
