The Heavy Equipment / Fleet Mechanic must be able to remove, repair, install and diagnose and perform failure analysis on construction equipment and fleet vehicles (diesel and gas) including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities include:
Test, Diagnose, and Repair heavy machinery
Locate Parts
Perform Routine Maintenance
Maintain detailed paper/electronic maintenance records
Rebuild engine and major drive components
Follow applicable OSHA and Company Safety Procedures
Necessary Skills include:
Apply knowledge of schematics and manuals
Utilize computers and electronic equipment to diagnose equipment
Use hand tools, mechanized tools, jacks, hoists, and welding equipment
Consistent use of good verbal and written communication skills.
