Heavy Equipment Forklift Operator

A leading distributor of pipeline products and services is seeking a Heavy Forklift Operator to manage large-scale material movements. The ideal candidate has experience moving large valves and a strong focus on safety. By ensuring precise and secure material handling, the successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Houston, TX 77073
Type of Position:Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

• Operate a 26k lb capacity forklift to move heavy industrial materials throughout the facility.
• Safely transport large valves, pipe sections, steel components, and fabricated assemblies.
• Load and unload trucks in accordance with shipping/receiving procedures.
• Inspect materials for damage prior to movement and report any discrepancies.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols at all times.
• Properly stage materials for production, assembly, and outbound shipment.
• Assist with general warehouse/shop duties as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and production teams to coordinate material flow.
• Maintain forklift equipment through daily inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Ensure accurate placement and organization of materials to support workflow efficiency.

Requirements:

• Experience moving large valves; experience moving modified valves is required
