The Rental Counter / Inside Sales Representative is the first point of contact for customers at our Chehalis branch. This role handles walk -in and phone traffic, builds rental and sales quotes, processes contracts, and connects customers with the right equipment for the job. This person represents Tyler Rental's reputation for straight answers, fair pricing, and dependable service.

Greet customers in person and by phone, and identify their equipment or supply needs
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Prepare rental agreements, sales quotes, and invoices accurately and promptly
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Quote rental rates, sale prices, and delivery charges using current book rates and pricing guidelines
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Follow up on open quotes, upcoming rental returns, and overdue rental returns
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Answer basic equipment questions on excavators, aerial lifts, compaction, and attachments, escalating technical questions to sales or service staff as needed
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Keep the showroom, counter area, and product displays clean and organized
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Support other branch functions as needed, including covering for teammates during peak periods
<\/div><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
High school diploma or equivalent required
<\/div>

<\/div>
• 1+ years of customer service, counter sales, or inside sales experience preferred
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Experience in equipment rental, construction, or industrial supply is a plus, but not required
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Comfortable with computers, phones, and basic office software; rental software experience is a plus
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Strong communication skills and a calm, helpful demeanor under pressure
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Basic math skills for quoting, invoicing, and cash handling
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a small branch team
<\/div>

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to stand at a counter for extended periods
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (parts, supplies, paperwork)
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Occasional exposure to a shop and yard environment around running equipment
<\/div><\/span>
