Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Full Time Position

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy machinery, with particular expertise in excavators and construction equipment. Primary Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance and Repair

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other construction machinery
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections according to manufacturer specifications and company schedules
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine problems, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems
• Service and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses
• Maintain and repair electrical systems, including starters, alternators, batteries, and wiring harnesses
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed for equipment repairs and modifications

Excavator Specialization

• Execute specialized maintenance and repairs on various excavator models and sizes
• Diagnose and repair excavator-specific systems including swing drives, track systems, and boom/arm assemblies
• Perform bucket and attachment maintenance and replacement
• Troubleshoot and repair excavator control systems and operator interfaces
• Conduct undercarriage inspections and replacements including tracks, rollers, and idlers
