The Heavy Equipment Mechanic, JLTV, Lead (aka JLTV Wheeled Mechanic 91B) involves maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the operational readiness of wheeled vehicles, trailers, and material handling equipment systems.


Responsibilities


+ Conduct thorough inspections of wheeled vehicles, including engines, transmissions, power train components, hydraulic systems, and fuel system components.

+ Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles in optimal condition.

+ Inspect, adjust, and test parts and systems to ensure functionality.

+ Supervise and professionally develop subordinates.

+ Handle maintenance-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting.

+ Plan work area layout for efficiency and safety.

+ Conduct on-the-job training.

+ Identification as LEAD, adds administrative duties to the standard labor category. Administrative duties include personnel accountability, timekeeping, drafting and submitting reports, creating a safety culture, and enforcing company/contract requirements and standards.


Qualifications


+ 10+ years maintenance experience in Mechanical Maintenance or a combination of Mechanical Maintenance and General Technical.

+ Ability to climb up the back of JLTV.

+ Ability to bring and use own tools.

+ Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

+ Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC.


Desired Qualifications:


+ U.S. Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.

+ High School Diploma / GED.

+ Valid Driver’s License.

+ Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.


Physical Demands:


+ Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.


Pay and Benefits:


+ Hourly Pay Rate $28.38.

+ Hourly Health & Welfare: $5.09.
