Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Pay: $30.00–$40.00/hour DOE

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Some on-call work required)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues on heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine servicing.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and repair manuals.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, hydraulic components, brakes, and other major systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and document completed repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards.
• Respond to occasional after-hours or on-call service needs as required.
• Keep the shop and work area clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic is required.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
• Experience working on construction or industrial equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must have your own basic mechanic's tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to safety.
