About the Role
We are hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join Kanroad in Winkelman, Arizona.
This position involves maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy construction and mining equipment used in daily operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience and is comfortable working in a field and shop environment.
Responsibilities

Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment

Service machinery including excavators, loaders, haul trucks, and bulldozers

Conduct preventive maintenance according to service schedules

Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues

Repair or replace defective parts and components

Maintain accurate service and repair records

Support field equipment repairs when required

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards

Communicate equipment status with supervisors and team members
Requirements

Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role

Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

Ability to read technical manuals and schematics

Experience working with construction or mining equipment preferred

Ability to work in outdoor and physically demanding conditions

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills

Basic communication and documentation abilities

High school diploma or GED preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $25 – $38 per hour (based on experience)

Estimated annual range: $52,000 – $79,000
