Heavy Equipment Operations & Management Instructor - Site Survey Specialist

Days: M-F, On Site Salary starts at $63,000.

State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for full time, 9-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit eligible Instructor position for the Heavy Equipment Operations & Management Program. Apply today at https://statetechmo.edu/human-resources/.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in the heavy equipment operations industry.
  • Excellent communications, computer, and interpersonal skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the industry standards and safety regulations.
  • A bachelors degree or the willingness to earn one.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching/training experience, especially in a hands-on or vocational setting.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in site survey.
  • A valid Commercial Drivers License.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Trimble GPS grade control and data collection systems (Trimble Siteworks preferred), including:

  • Importing and working with digital site plans and models.

  • Setting excavation grades and slopes.

  • Establishing site control and benchmarks.

  • Verifying cut/fill elevations and as-built conditions.

  • Rotating laser levels for grade and elevation control.

  • Experience with drones used in site planning and possession of a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
