Heavy Equipment Operator - Beautification and Facilities

$21.61/Hour; 40 hours/week

• High school diploma or GED, supplemented by one (1) year of experience in heavy

equipment operation

• Valid South Carolina Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

The Heavy Equipment Operator performs semi-skilled work in the installation and maintenance of the City's landscaped areas and other properties. Must be able to operate light-to-heavy equipment and trucks and perform general maintenance work in the upkeep and repair of City streets, grounds and other properties. Must be able to operate a pickup truck, flatbed truck, heavy truck, backhoe, bobcat, roller, tractor, mower, etc. Must be able to operate hand and power tools and assist with special projects as requested. Must be able to perform all work in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, permits, and/or standards of quality and safety. Must remain on call as scheduled for emergency or after-hours response, attends training, meetings, etc.
