In this role, you’ll be working on major projects throughout the Charleston area, including commercial sites, highways, interstates, ports, and other heavy civil infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Do

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you’ll operate heavy earthmoving equipment and support grading operations on active jobsites.

Equipment may include:

• Dozers, Excavators, Trackhoes
• Other heavy earthmoving equipment

You’ll also:

• Operate heavy equipment safely around crews, traffic, and active jobsites
• Perform grading and sitework activities on heavy civil construction projects
• Prepare and stabilize soil and other materials
• Clean and prepare jobsites
• Dig trenches, support excavation work, and clean debris as needed
• Maintain equipment and keep it in good working condition
• Communicate with your crew and supervisor to meet safety, production, and quality goals
• Assist with other duties as directed by the site supervisor

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, safety-minded, and ready to be part of a hardworking team.

• Has 3–5 years of heavy equipment operating experience
• Has experience operating dozers, excavators, trackhoes, or similar heavy equipment
• Has a valid driver’s license
• Is comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
• Can work safely around people, traffic, and active jobsites
• Takes pride in maintaining equipment and doing quality work
• Communicates well with crew members and supervisors
• Shows up on time and is ready to work each day
• Wants to continue learning and growing in the heavy civil construction industry

Starting Pay: $22.00/hr (Depending on Experience) + overtime opportunities
