seeking an experienced and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join their Chattanooga team. This position is responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist with excavation, trenching, grading, utility installation, and other construction-related projects while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skid steers, loaders, and trenchers
  • Perform excavation and trenching work for plumbing and utility installation projects
  • Read and follow site plans, markings, and project instructions
  • Load and transport materials safely on job sites
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns
  • Assist crews with manual labor tasks when equipment operation is not required
  • Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies at all times
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous heavy equipment operating experience required
  • Experience in construction, utility, plumbing, or excavation work preferred
  • Ability to safely operate multiple types of heavy machinery
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of underground utilities and trench safety practices
  • Experience reading blueprints or site plans
  • OSHA certification is a plus
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
