Heavy Equipment Operator

Kings Mountain, NC), the Heavy Equipment Operator / Yard Worker handles the safe movement, storage, and loading of massive precast concrete structures. It is a demanding, fast-paced, and physically intensive role combining machinery operation with manual labor outdoors.

Core Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery, such as large forklifts and front-end loaders, to lift, move, and stack heavy concrete products (e.g., manholes, inlets, vaults).
• Yard Management: Organize, clean, and maintain the outdoor inventory yard. Control equipment movements through narrow or confined storage spaces.
• Loading & Unloading: Secure and prepare customer orders. Load/unload delivery trucks and assist truck drivers with tarping and tying down loads.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections on machinery (fluids, tires, brakes), perform basic troubleshooting, and report mechanical issues.
