Required Experience and Training: High school diploma or GED equivalent and two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Required Certificates and Licenses: Valid Class B CDL Driver’s License is required. Additional certifications may be required depending on area of assignment. Work is performed at work sites and requires exposure to extreme weather conditions, potentially dangerous tools, equipment, and machinery, and hazardous chemicals. Operates a variety of heavy and light maintenance equipment, such as City trucks and vehicles, mowers, saws, trimmers, and backhoes, and standard office equipment such as personal computer and related software, fax machine, and copy machine. Starting Salary: $47,563 - $51,220 annually (depending on qualifications) - Step increase after successful six month probation.
