JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our precast concrete duct bank team. This position is responsible for operating various sizes of forklifts and heavy equipment to safely move, load, unload, stack, and transport precast concrete products and materials throughout the production yard. The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments and be comfortable handling oversized and heavy concrete products.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperate varying sizes of forklifts, including large-capacity industrial and rough-terrain forklifts.Safely transport precast concrete duct banks, conduit sections, and related materials.Load and unload trucks, trailers, and production materials efficiently and safely.Assist with staging products for shipping, storage, and production.Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and heavy equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.Follow all OSHA, company, and site safety procedures.Work closely with production, shipping, and yard personnel to maintain workflow efficiency.Maintain organized storage areas and clean work environments.Assist with rigging, lifting, and securing oversized concrete products as needed.Read and interpret load sheets, shipping documents, and hand signals.Operate additional equipment such as loaders, skid steers, or cranes when qualified.Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.REQUIREMENTSPrevious experience operating large forklifts and heavy equipment required.Experience in precast concrete, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred.Ability to operate forklifts of varying capacities safely and efficiently.OSHA forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.Strong understanding of safety regulations and load handling procedures.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as needed.Comfortable working around heavy machinery and oversized loads.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Reliable attendance and punctuality required.WORKING CONDITIONSOutdoor and industrial work environment.Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and changing weather conditions.Frequent standing, climbing, bending, and lifting.Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on production demands.EMPLOYMENT STATUSEmployment is at-will and contingent upon onboarding requirements and any required background checks.
