Heavy Equipment Operator

Our client in Lake County, OH is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support a variety of concrete construction projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This full-time role requires safe and skilled operation of Skid Steers, Backhoes, Loaders, and Excavators while assisting with site preparation and concrete pours. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and willing to jump in with hands-on labor when needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required; Class A CDL is a plus

• Minimum of 5 years of proven heavy equipment operating experience in a construction, concrete or asphalt environment

• Strong knowledge of equipment operation, safety procedures, and basic maintenance practices

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate Skid Steers, Backhoes, Loaders, and Excavators safely and efficiently

• Perform routine field maintenance, including preventative checks and minor servicing

• Prepare sub-grades to proper elevations

• Use a laser to verify and maintain correct elevations

• Follow all safety regulations and jobsite standards

• Load and unload equipment onto trucks and trailers safely

• Assist with general labor tasks on-site as needed
